Tottenham Can Draw Inspiration From Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspurs will seal the fate of their Champions League tonight, as they take on a brave Ajax side at the Amsterdam Arena. Spurs would be seeking to overturn a goal deficit from the first leg.

With both sides boasting of young and talented players, Tottenham faithfuls are hoping their side can draw inspiration from their Premiership counterpart, Liverpool, who overturned a three nil deficit to FC Barcelona at Camp Nou. The return fixture at Anfield saw Liverpool score four ‘un-replied’ goals, to clinch a ticket in this year’s Champions League final in Madrid. This feat was achieved without their star players like; Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

As Tottenham Hotspurs will be without their number 10, Harry Kane. Tottenham’s Head Coach, Mauricio Pochetino, will be glad to have Heung-Min Son back for this crucial away match, as the Korean missed the first leg due to disciplinary reasons. His addition to the squad will be a huge boost to their attacking threat and chances of qualifying.

Although, it has to be said that Ajax wouldn’t be an easy one to ride, as they have shown character and bravery in this tournament by eliminating two favorites; Real Madrid and Juventus, in the Round 16 and Quarter final respectively.
