This Notre Dame Story Should Teach Nigerians A Lesson.

Yesterday, the French Notre Dame cathedral caught fire, although the fire department did all they could to save it, notable damages were still made to the historical buildings.

In just one day after this incident, the French are already pledging money out of freewill to rebuild this significant building. A French billionaire named Fran├žois-Henri Pinault pledged 100 million euros to the reconstruction of the cathedral, but can we expect that from our Nigerian brothers?

I am not one to say that the rich people should be obligated to spend their money for the people, but this is just an example that shows that we as people should not have to wait for the government to fix our problems.

Like I said before, our government doesn’t care about us so it’s up to us to ensure the development of our communities and environments.
