Simi Is Just Comfortable And Secure In ‘Omo Charlie Champagne Vol. 1’

I would like to say this first, Simisola is my favorite Nigerian female singer. You have no idea how excited I am to hear this new album.

I won’t lie, I was a little skeptical, and it’s because her last album ‘Simisola’ was a jam, I still get goose bumps from the mention of it. The fear that the new album might not live up to the hype was giving great grieve and I am happy that the grieve is over now.

But like she said, ‘we shouldn’t try comparing the albums’ and that is what I did, not that it was easy but it was worth it.

Omo Charlie Champagne Vol. 1 is highlife themed which is mostly the center of Simi’s music, but this time, she experiments with dancehall which just made me go ‘awwwn’

Although Simi didn’t tell as much stories as she normally would in this album, this album is still beautiful, wouldn’t mind more stories because she is an amazing story teller, but I am still thankful!!

I have missed her voice, and a Simi and Adekule Gold, a Simi and Falz collaboration is a blessing to the world. By the way, Falz issa bastard (LoL!!) he really showed out on the album.

Finally, if I could use one word to describe this album, the word would be ‘Refreshing’. This is an album you listen to while driving, or you listen to when you want to focus on a project or work, the soothing sound is gonna help concentration, trust me!!!.
