Nigeria Cannot Be This Foolish

Today started really slow until my friend showed me a post about a Nigerian Airline company whose pilot was supposed to fly a plane from Abuja to Warri, only for him to stop at Benin and put the passengers in a bus for them to continue their journey.

My first reaction after seeing this was, this has to be fake news, I mean, come on! It doesn’t sound believable. But the story has been circulating a lot, now I am beginning to doubt my belief. Could it be? It’s Nigeria, a country that cares less about her citizens and their wellbeing and this story, whether true or false, shows the kind of system we are running.

I really hope this is not true, because this is just too much fuckery for God’s sake, this is such a disgrace. I was teasing a friend of mine about her being unpatriotic and her reply to me was ‘How do you expect me to serve my country? Has my country ever tried to serve me? Any form of relationship is a two way thing, don’t expect what you don’t give’.

Obviously, this country has failed her people, but this story can’t be true because it’s like pouring salt on an open wound.
