I Faced Sexism Today!

Hey guys, as you all know, i just started journeying bachelorhood, and I’ve got to do a lot of things on my own.

One of those things involves shopping (not shoprite shopping, but abule market shopping).

One thing about these markets is that they have no label price and for that reason, you are constantly at the mercy of being cheated.

I decided to go buy meat today because I wanted to make vegetable ( yes, cooking is my hidden talent). I got to the meat seller and asked him for 500 Naira worth, and what he cut out was like I came to beg.

I immediately told him,”oga this thing is too small oh”. He grumbled for a while and added a small piece to it and was about to pack it for me 😨

So I decided to give it another shot and told him to add to it, that’s when this nigga snapped ooo, saying I am pricing like a woman 🙄, he then asked what I was doing in the market, don’t i have a girlfriend?

I was like, so because I am a guy and I’m single, I should die of hunger, right? I mean can’t a guy go to the market in peace and not get cheated because of his gender. Nigeria is hard, I don’t have money to waste, y’all market people, better behave yourself.

I swear it’s not y’all fault, it’s not 😒
