Here Is Why Old People Don’t Like You.

If you’re in your teenage years or already a young adult, you should by now be getting side eyes from the older generation.

While this might be frustrating and annoying, let’s try to understand it.

The generation before us thinks we are lazy, self entitled, selfish, and a whole lot of other derogatory things. They also hate the fact that we are always on our phones all the time, and believe we are wasting our lives.

First of all, I am writing this post with my phone. That being said, this is why I feel they don’t like us.

Number one, nobody has life figured out yet, nobody ever did and nobody ever will. This is because life doesn’t come with a manual, the things we have figured were gotten through trial by error.

With the advent of social media and the Internet, we are exposed to different cultures, people, and religions which make us question a lot of things, and the older generations don’t like the questions. Why???That’s prolly because they don’t have the answer, which is fine, but then, they become all aggressive for being questioned.

There are lots of contradictions and loopholes in the knowledge, morals, and way of life that have been passed down to us. Nothing was written in stone, and there is always a significant distance between a story and the teller of the story. So don’t be mad if we don’t take your word 100%.

Our way of life threatens all they have ever known. But they have to understand that it’s evolution, the race is evolving, and people fear what they don’t understand and always try attacking it. So instead of attacking us out of fear, they should stop trying to shrink and control us, and try see things from our perspective.

Oh, before I go, just because you’re old doesn’t mean you are smart. And, I don’t have to suffer before I can have a good life.

And, that I’m always on my phone doesn’t mean I am addicted, it just means I’ve found a tribe of people who listen.
