Has The New Wave Of Sexual Revolution Destroyed Traditional Courtship?

Most stories, fairytales, and romantic novels have portrayed courtship in a certain light —there’s always a helpless damsel and a prince charming; getting the girl is somewhat a conquest, because she is girl expected to put up a resistance, and the guy should prove his worth by finding a way to break the resistance.

But it’s 2019, and we seem to be doing things differently; girls aren’t supposed to be seen as an object to be conquered, and guys aren’t the only ones who do the chasing.

Females are being encouraged to make their own move. There are people who feel that this new mode of courtship is limiting and doesn’t provide the same thrills that were written in the novels and poetry, they feel that the new wave of doing things is mechanical and is void of its thrills. They feel it moves to fast, and when it comes to how quick we give in to sex, they say we’re void of morals.

Although, the way things are being done now is quite different and there aren’t any classic novels or poetry about it yet. It has given people more freedom to express express themselves and made people more respectful of each other.

  1. I am in total agreement with this. Both male and female should be encouraged to express their feelings especially how a lady feel romantically.
