2Baba is King but 2Face is God

For a while now, I have been seriously craving listening to 2face Idibia. To put an end to this persistent misery, I got his Grass to Grace album,  and my God it made me so emotional. The lyrics, the message, and the infusion of reggae ( well that was the rave at that time) sent a wave of nostalgia rushing at me. I was beginning to miss 2face idibia, it’s not like 2Baba doesn’t make good music, it might just be me being nostalgic and sentimental in my comparison. I also felt the same way listening to Asa’s new album while also listening to Bimpe.

We are in a culture of saying “we miss the old this, we miss the old that”, and sometimes I feel it might be because the old helps preserve a time in our lives, but evolution and change is inevitable. While we must accept that fact, I wouldn’t mind a new album from 2face Idibia.
